Black Soldier Fly Larvae (BSFL) are one of the most nutritionally balanced feeder insects available for any insectivore.

BSFL contain up to 43% protein and are rich in calcium and other nutrients, making them ideally suited to reptiles in particular. BSFL are nutritionally superior to any other feeder with a perfect balance of essential fats, amino acids, phosphorus, protein, calcium and magnesium.

As a subscriber, you'll receive your feeder insects on a schedule that suits you. You are automatically billed each period and receive your bugs every week, every 2 weeks, every 3 weeks, or every 4 weeks. The choice is yours! You can log in and change your subscription details at any time.

If you want your BSFL to remain the same size, we recommend storing them in a cool dark place (12 ºC / 53ºF). This will slow their metabolism and therefore slow down their growth. Just remember to allow them to warm up before feeding your pet.

If you want your BSFL to continue to grow, then we recommend keeping them at room temperature and ensuring they have a food source and are kept moist.

BSFL contain roughly 75% more calcium than mealworms and crickets and therefore you do not need to supplement with calcium carbonate.

$5 Local Delivery is available to all residents within Calgary city limits. $5 Local Deliveries are every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday. When choosing Local Delivery at the checkout, your order will be picked and packed on the day of your chosen delivery to ensure freshness. Your order will be delivered to your chosen address during your chosen time slot. All attempts will be made to place your order into the hands of a recipient at your given address but if no answer at the door, your order will be left on your front porch and a picture taken as proof of delivery. During months where the outside temperature dips below 10°C, please ensure you are home to receive your order. You will receive a message when you order is out for delivery as well as when your order has been delivered. It is your responsibility to ensure you are home during your selected delivery date and time. If you are unable to be at home please reach out to us at info@nutrigrubs.ca to arrange a delivery to a different address, date or time.

If you wish to cancel, pause, skip, swap, or change the frequency of your subscription, here are some options you can choose from:

Pause: Ideal for when your reptile is in brumation. You can pause your subscription for 1, 2, 3 months, etc. Your subscription will automatically resume once the pause period is complete.

Skip: If you're going on vacation or have more grubs than you need, you can skip a delivery—or as many as you'd like.

Swap: This option allows you to swap between different grub sizes (e.g., medium to small, small to medium, medium to large, etc.). You can also adjust the frequency of your subscription (e.g., from every 1 to 2 weeks, 2 to 4 weeks, etc.).

Cancel: If you no longer need your BSFL, you can cancel your subscription at any time.

When purchasing subscription feeders your credit card will be charged at the checkout for your first period. For example, if you sign up for 250 Medium BSFL every two weeks ($13.20), your card will be charged at the checkout for $13.20 and then $13.20 every two weeks moving forward.

If you live within Calgary, we can deliver your order to your door for just $5. If you live on the outskirts of Calgary we can deliver your order for $10. We also offer Canada wide shipping. All shipping options and costs are calculated at the checkout.
