Hornworm Pod
Hornworms – Juicy, Hydrating, and Ready to Feed
Hornworms are a soft, hydrating feeder loved by chameleons, bearded dragons, leopard geckos, and many other reptiles and amphibians. Very high in moisture and low in fat, they make an excellent hydrating treat and a favourite for tempting picky eaters. Because they're low in calcium, offer them as a treat alongside a balanced diet, not a staple. Only ever feed captive-bred hornworms like ours, never wild-caught, which can carry plant toxins harmful to reptiles.
Size: approximately 1". We start the pod with smaller hornworms because they grow so fast, so feed them off as they reach the size your reptile needs.
Caring for your pod: Keep at room temperature, never refrigerate, and keep the pod the right way up. Every 1 to 2 days, take off the lid and discard any droppings. The air holes are in the lid, so keep airflow clear. Keeping the pod upright lets the food stay at the top and the droppings fall onto the lid for easy clean-up, so they don't contaminate the food.
